Even as a beleaguered infosec community heads into what many had hoped would be a year-end holiday break, the SolarWinds hack is still just beginning to reverberate throughout government and the private sector. The biggest news yesterday came last night when Kim Zetter reported via Yahoo News how the SolarWinds hackers, most likely a Russian APT group, did a test run of their breach in October 2019, distributing files but causing no harm and expanding the known timeline for their activities.
