Ransomware is bad and it’s getting worse is so many ways (promo: I’ve got a column coming up Monday on this very subject over at CSO) but no one has been able to pin a death on ransomware…until now. A ransomware attack shut down the IT systems at a major hospital in Duesseldorf, Germany and forced a woman needing attention to go to another city for medical attention, where she died. Associated Press has the story.
