US Postal Service Used Buggy Applications That Could Have Spilled Some Sensitive Beans OIG Says
The U.S. Postal Service, already in turmoil ahead of its critical role in managing millions of mail-in ballots, used several applications with “catastrophic” bugs that could have allowed hackers to access sensitive data, a memorandum by the USPS Office of Inspector General sent on July 27 said. The OIG found twelve "common, well-known vulnerabilities that have been present for three years that could be exploited by an attacker utilizing publicly available methods."
