Massive Trove of Documents From Kremlin Contractor Exposes Cyber Capabilities

A leak of thousands of pages of corporate documents from contractor NTC Vulkan reveals how Russian intelligence agencies worked with the Moscow-based defense contractor to strengthen their ability to launch cyberattacks, sow disinformation and surveil sections of the internet.
A German reporter shared the documents with a consortium of newspapers, which includes The Washington Post and is led by Paper Trail Media and Der Spiegel, both based in Germany. Officials from five Western intelligence agencies and several independent cybersecurity companies said they believe the documents are authentic. Three former Vulkan employees, who spoke anonymously out of fear of retribution, confirmed some details about the company.
