A potentially damaging collection of US documents and intelligence assessments that were leaked on various social media sites revealed, among other things, sensitive information on secret American plans related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with one document exposing how the Russian hacking group known as Zarya claims to have breached the network of a Canadian gas pipeline company in February purportedly causing damage that resulted in the loss of profits.
In a leaked briefing, Zarya shared screenshots with a Russian FSB officer on February 25, claiming to show their access to the unidentified Canadian facility. The briefing indicated they could increase valve pressure, disable alarms, and initiate an emergency facility shutdown.
