Russian-based ransomware gang LockBit attacked the Port of Nagoya, Japan's largest port by total cargo throughput and responsible for handling some of Toyota Motor Corp.'s exports and imports, leaving the port in the central Japan prefecture of Aichi unable to load and unload containers from trailers, its operator Nagoya Port Authority said.
The administrative authority of the Port of Nagoya issued a notice about a malfunction in the “Nagoya Port Unified Terminal System” (NUTS), the central system controlling all container terminals in the port.
