Hackers Launch DDoS Attacks on the European Investment Bank Over Ukraine Support

Days after Russian-speaking hackers who claim to be part of the Killnet gang threatened to launch cyber attacks against Western financial institutions over support for Ukraine, the European Investment Bank (EIB) was hit with DDoS attacks.
An EIB spokesman confirmed it was “currently facing a cyber attack” affecting the availability of some of its websites.
A group claiming to be from the Killnet gang said in a post on Telegram they would “rebuff the madmen according to the formula ‘no money – no weapons – no Kyiv regime.”
Earlier this year, the gang claimed credit online for DDoS attacks aimed at NATO and the US Air Force’s Strategic Air Command. (Gareth Corfield / The Telegraph)
