Hackers have returned $253 million of the nearly $611+ million they stole from Poly Network after the decentralized finance platform urged them to return the hacked assets.
The hackers sent a message to Poly Network embedded in a cryptocurrency transaction saying they were “ready to return” the funds. Poly responded, requesting the money be sent to three crypto addresses. (Arjun Karpal and Ryan Browne / CNBC)
