Researchers at ClearSky Cyber Security say that a hacker group apparently linked to Hezbollah called “Lebanese Cedar,” also known as “Volatile Cedar,” has been targeting companies in the US, UK, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.
Check Point Software earlier identified the group as linked to the Lebanese government or a Lebanese political group and shows signs of being part of an advanced persistent threat group backed by a nation-state. (Tzvi Joffre / The Jerusalem Post)
