According to a draft document, the Biden administration is preparing an executive order to prevent foreign adversaries from accessing troves of highly sensitive personal data about Americans and people connected to the US government, particularly data obtained through legal means.
Sources say the new executive order will direct the US Attorney General and Department of Homeland Security to issue new restrictions on transactions involving data that, if obtained, could threaten national security.
