Bringing Cyberattacks to Newcastle
The news was slow in the U.S. due to the Labor Day holiday but not in the UK

On August 30, Newcastle University became a ransomware victim of the DoppelPaymer gang and it will take likely weeks for the North England school to recover from the attack. The assault follows a similar attack on nearby Northumbria University. Sergiu Gatlan explains the situation in Bleeping Computer.
